Doris Mar aka Dorismar in Hombres Magazine NSFW

Note | Nudity Admittedly we push the envelope in Provocateurs, exploring the blurring line between the artistic creatives who increasingly embrace nudity in fashion and men's magazines like Hombres, Playboy, FHM -- well you know the list.
The creatives are very uppity about saying that they are not pornographers, while calling the men's magazines sleeze bags. And then we have that wide range of girl-worship images in-between.
Women's groups don't approve of most of these images -- although I get a pass with reservations, because I try to advance dialogue through exploration of this entire topic from a woman's point of view. (PM) On that note, I want to share an IPS article tagged to me today 'Women Reject Normalisation of Gender Violence' (in Mexico).
On occasion, someone calls me a sleaze bag myself, which comes with the territory of opening Pandora's box. In all honesty, we're exploring our own lines of demarcation on this complex subject.
What fascinates me is that many of the women posing for magazines like Hombres have interesting lives and have shared values -- even thought many a fashionista will condemn them as being fraudulent.
Dora Noemi Kerchen is an Argentine model, actress, television host and singer. One of the more interesting stories in Dorismar's background is her 2005 campaign to protect endangered sea turtle eggs from being harvested by men beliving they are a source of virility.
The campaign proclaimed 'My man does not need turtle eggs because he knows that they don't make him more potent' and 'Sea turtle eggs DO NOT increase sexual potency!' Apparently many women's rights groups derided the campaign and some environmental groups refused to claim Dorismar as a friend.
I understand why Mexico's National Women's Institute considered the campaign offensive and a step backwards in the country's efforts to overcome its culturally ingrained machismo.
Also noteworthy is the fact that in early January 2006, Doris Mar and her husband manager were deported from the United States to Argentina as illegal aliens after living six years in Miami. Because men's blogs don't date a damn thing, because -- after all -- the woman is the sum of her tits and ass, so who cares about the details of the publication date, we don't know if this is a new editorial or not.
We've given our best try at filling in the blanks and telling Dorismar's story. The end. Anne
