Mick Jagger and Carla Bruni
Former First Lady of France Carla Bruni is front and center in Christopher Andersen's new biography of Mick Jagger. In 'Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger,' reveals that Bruni was the one woman Jerry Hall feared the most.
Today's NY Daily News has published extensive excerpts of the book, which looks like a biopic of sexy living, as tracked through the relentless libido of Mick Jagger. Some critics say the unauthorized biography -- which hits the shelves along with 'Rolling Stones: 50' the official Rolling Stones 50th anniversary book, is a retread os past 'tell all' books about the Rolling Stones.
Much of this sensational but accurate look at Mick Jagger focuses on the glittering, sexually-liberated seventies. By 1990, David Bowie was detoxing and ready to meet up with wife Iman. But Jagger, writes Andersen, was still going strong in his sexually-liberated life.
Bruni had all the qualities that appealed to Jagger: jaw-dropping beauty, Pirelli-fortune inheritance; a $4 million annual salary as a model and a rock star boyfriend Eric Clapton.
It was also in 1990 that Jagger married long-term love Jerry Hall, who he met in 1977. The couple had four children together out of Jagger's total of seven offspring. He's also a grandfather to four.

Jagger was just four years older than Bowie, when Mick paid Ziggy Stardust a backstage visit in the spring of 1973. Andersen writes that Jagger remained coy about his personal sexual preferences, Bowie made no effort to disguise the reality that both he and his wife Angie were bisexual and often shared sexual partners.
"It was the glitter era, and everybody wanted to be part of the bisexual revolution." explained singer Chuckie Starr, who ran into Mick at a party in Beverly Hills the week that 'Angie' hit number one. "Mick was no different. He was wearing rhinestones, boue eye shadow, and platform shoes."
By 1976 Bowie's addictions had reduced him to a skeleton of a person, earning him the nickname the 'Thin White Duke'. Addressing his state of being Bowie said: "I suppose I've been knocking on heaven's door for about 11 years now."

Bebe Bueli and Mick Jagger
Playboy centerfold and mother of Liv Tyler Bebe Buell conducted affairs with both Bowie and Jagger over the course of several years. Buell's amorous playtime involved Elvis Costello, Rod Stewart, Jimmy Page, Aerosmith's Steve Tyler, Todd Rundgren, and Prince writes Andersen.
Buell was just eighteen and dating Rundgren, whose biggest hits were “Hello It’s Me” and “I Saw the Light,” when she caught Bowie’s eye at the club Max’s Kansas City in New York in 1973. David quickly seduced her. Not long after, she met Mick at an Eric Clapton concert. At the postshow party, Mick seemed to be reconnecting with his old friend Clapton while at the same time doing his best to lure Buell into bed. “He was flirting outrageously,” she recalled. “He kept coming over and telling me to ditch Todd (Rundgren).

Mick Jagger has lived for about 10 years with 6'3" American fashion designer and stylist L Wren Scott in a vast 21st-floor suite at Manhattan's Carlyle hotel, in London and in a left bank City of Light aerie.
The 68-year-old Jagger says that Wren -- who is notoriously discreet about their life -- will not be wife number 3.
"To be honest I don't think much of marriage," says the rock star.
