Detroit Radio Station Tries to Take Down New Miss USA

The day after being crowned Miss USA, Rima Fakih -- an Arab-American from Dearborn, Michigan, has been identified as a pole dancer, participating in the "Stripper 101" contest at The Coliseum Gentlemen's Club in Detroit in 2007.
A local radio station program MojoinTheMorning.com took the chance to promote itself, 'congratulating Ms Fakih on their website, adding a few congratulatory photos from her 2007 performance.
Pageant officials have contacted the radio station, asking for any unreleased photos. The radio station spokesperson added fuel (why???) to what remains a low-burning fire this morning, saying: "She won a personal stripping pole for your house and we had an adult company that gave away all kinds of toys and dirty things that make me blush." via Huff Po
We're editorializing here, but what a disgusting comment at this particular moment. We will say so on the radio station's Facebook page.
Please join me in calling this moment for what it is. As I read further the radio station program MojoinTheMorning is trying to turn this event into their 15 minutes of fame, at Rima Fakih's expense. Please don't let them do this.
Yes, she is responsible for whatever actions she took in her pole dancing class. But the radio station is trying to cash in at her expense, and they frankly don't care if she loses everything and the world goes to war over a new insult to Arab-American relations. It all about them.
The station's Facebook page is here, but it appears you can't comment. I have looked for 15 minutes. There are comments, but I don't see an opportunity for new fans or others to comment. I just called the radio station 888-955-6656.
Please protest with me (although I'm not sure how yet). MojoinTheMorning.com has taken the center stage and is basking in the limelight but they don't permit conversation against what they're doing. All we can do is watch them. Anne

As responsible people -- especially women bloggers-- move to neutralize the self-promotional efforts of Detroit's "Mojo in the Morning" to cast a "very naughty girl" halo on our new Miss USA, additional details are appearing about the actual event that Rimah Fakih participated in.
For what it’s worth (says Stylelite) “Stripper 101″ is a women only event and held with the hopes of helping “women to enhance their love lives, not to make a person into a dancer."
If it's a woman-only event, why are the scuzz balls at Mojo releasing statements like: "She won a personal stripping pole for your house and we had an adult company that gave away all kinds of toys and dirty things that make me blush."
I am sooo amused here, "Mojo in the Morning".
Your self-promotional humor escapes me. Rimah Fakih has already stood up to fundamentalist forces worldwide that disapprove of her actions, and you throw her into the lion's den.
There's no backtracking on the intentions of the folks at "Mojo in the Morning". If they could start a controversy around Rima Fakih that got THEM on TMZ.com, all was fair game. It's all about THEM.
I say turn off that radio station, because any listener may be next. "Mojo in the Morning" will capitalize on you for their own benefit at the first opportunity. Actions speak louder than love words. "Mojo in the Morning" has told you all you need to know about them.
