Paz de la Huerta's On the Rocks in Mario Sorrenti Nude Playboy January / February 2013 Shots NSFW

Monsieur Le Smoking Jacket, aka Hugh Hefner,  should be very happy. 'Boardwalk Empire' star Paz de la Huerta is lensed by first class photographer Mario Sorrenti for the January/February issue of Playboy. I suspect that success of Treats! is getting under his skin. It's seriously doubtful that Playboy will ever attract the female audience enjoyed by Treats! but this editorial is a welcome edition to the magazine. I don't even know -- does Playboy still print on cheap paper or have they upgraded it?

Paz is very comfortable in her own nude skin tells Playboy:

“I feel that when people hire me they know it’s going to be a collaboration and that they hire me for what I give on all sorts of levels, from my movement to the emotion I bring to the project, the passion, all of it," she tells Playboy in its January/February double issue, on sale Dec. 18.

Speaking of Sorrenti, who understands the art of photographng sensual women and enhancing their self love, De la Huerta says:

"I did my first nude shoot with Mario when I was 17. He made me feel beautiful, and I really feel it was on that shoot that I overcame my fear of being maked. Mario is such an artist. He has taken photographs of me in which my body looks like a sculpture."

"We did the photos with no makeup, and we both wanted them to have a very natural feeling." the actress continues. "It was more about bringing out a part of myself that has not really been shown to the public."

Italian Reverie | The Marking of the 2012 Pirelli Calendar by Mario Sorrenti

Read Anne's response Mario Sorrenti's 2012 Pirelli Calendar Empowers Women at AOC Sensual Rebel.

Kate Moss sums up Mario Sorrenti’s relationship with women by saying that he truly adores us, including our female form. I’ve written these same words on many occasions about Mario Sorrenti and am thrilled to see a Smart Sensuality man behind the lens of the 2012 Pirelli Calendar.

Must we go backwards next year Pirelli? Why not press forward with women and men photographers who truly love females as we are in our best, authentic version? The world needs more sensual, emotional, natural, intimacy-seeking connections.

Why not empower us as these beautiful women say — not imaging us in a cold intellectualism as Lagerfeld did last year — or pornified as Terry Richardson did in 2010? If you stick to interpretations of an Italian vision of sensual women, you can hardly go wrong. Pirelli. Thanks for the reverie; it takes little prompting for me to write passionately about la dolce vita. Anne
